Vespa LXV and GTV in Navy

The Vespa Vintage family, a celebration of Vespa’s unique style, has now been increased by two new Navy versions. Every day mobility has gained in sheer elegance without losing any of its practicality.

First introduced in 2006 to celebrate Vespa’s sixtieth anniversary, and already legends in the scooter world, the Vespa LXV and GTV re-interpret the unique designs of the 1950s and 60s in style and functionality.

Inimitable looks and impressive sales have established the LXV and the GTV as models that have helped write the history of Vespa.

Now the LXV and GTV families are proud to announce the arrival of two Navy models, making unique style and elegance even more accessible and practical.

These latest additions to the great Vespa family are characterised by a stunning metallic finish in Midnight Blue and a new seat offering a choice of two sand colour upholstery finishes.

Vespa LXV Navy

The Vespa LXV Navy is a tribute to the Vespa generation of the ’60s. ( Pictured above)

The headlight remains in its original position on the handlebars, as on the classic Vespas from which the LXV family draws its inspiration. The modern headlight, however, is more streamlined and minimalist, revealing open handlebars and giving the front of the scooter a lighter look altogether.

The instruments include an analog speedometer with a chrome surround, with completely new graphics, again inspired by those of the ’60s.

The open handlebars are in chrome plated tubular steel. As on the models of yesteryear, the seat is in two separate parts, one for the rider and one for the passenger. The Vespa LXV Navy incorporates the technology of the Vespa LX models. The front wheel is 11” in diameter, with a disc front brake. And there is a choice of two ultra-modern and ecological engines, in two classic Vespa sizes: 125 cc (4 stroke, Euro 3) and 50 cc (2 stroke).

Vespa GTV Navy

The Vespa’s legendary strength derives from its monocoque steel frame, a characteristic that has always distinguished Vespas from all other scooters. Design work on the GTV involved all those parts that have seen major changes over the years, adapting to developments in technology and stylistic preferences along the way.

The mudguard mounted headlight is a clear reference to the earliest years of the Vespa.

The handlebars have seen a similar restyling operation, and now feature a simple, open metal tube just as on the first Vespa. The speedometer/odometer is a round, analog instrument, with discretely retro graphics, complemented by a modern digital display.

Two rear shock absorbers, disc brakes front and rear, and large 12” wheels make the GTV Navy safe and comfortable for everyday commuting.

The Vespa GTV Navy comes in a choice of two engine sizes: 125 and 250 cc. Both these ultra-modern 4 stroke engines feature four valve heads and liquid cooling. Both also offer superb performance for their size while conforming to Euro 3 emission control standards.
