| SYM SYMBA... yes like the Lion King |

It has oft been said that I have questionable taste and style... But I think the old Honda Cub styled scooters are some of the coolest looking around... SYM agree and now you lucky people in the US of A can trade your Hummer for one... assuming the rumors are true Our mates over at The Scooter Scoop apparently have it on very good authority that the new SYM, with the cute yet somehow offputing name "SYMBA" yes (Simba)... baby lion, Lion King movie... Cub... you get where they are going with it... and of Course the SYM in the name helped... must have had a team of marketing people up for hours getting that one together.
Anyway specs etc are yet to be confirmed but it would appear to be launched in three colours... Red, a lovely pastel shade of Blue and... Black... for when you want your cub... sorry SYMba to be BADASSSSSSSSSS. I don't care what you say, I like them and if I know SYM they will be releasing a kickarse package like they are in the habit of doing... Can I have one? Â

Since I'm pretty much bored with the new scooters' extensive over-the-top features list I can only welcome such an anachronic machine. More in the scooter spirit IMO.

But... traffic nowadays is pretty much dangerous and drum brakes don't do it (more than twice in a row, that is). Another point is the price, at level with a fiddle 125. I checked out the Honda Innova and Suzuki Adress 125, both with clutchless gearbox, and I really think these machines are dangerous on wet roads. And with only one gallon of gas the suspense never ends! The Symba is way more stylish though, sure one will be the center of attraction on any street with it, it's so chic! Yes... so are we! I have a shop in Portland (scooterstation.com) and we are expecting the first shipment of symba scooters by the middle of april. It's been a long time coming and I am really happy that they are finally coming ! and also yes: three color combinations: baby blue/white, black/white and red/white. They have a 101cc engine and a 4-speed semi automatic transmission. One of the features compared to the old honda cub is the full telescopic fork.

I have an '81 Honda Passport that I love like a child. Now I can't decide if I should sell it and buy one of these, keep it and have both, or just stick with my old trusty Honda. Either way, I'm pretty stoked that they're FINALLY bringing these to the US.
