World Scooter?

Australian based Vmoto recently released a press release with an instantly interesting (to me at least) second paragraph that reads "Two revolutionary Hybrid motor scooters... Set to transform two wheeled motorised transport globally."

Now I am a big fan of revolutionary technology, and the idea of a standard sized (read not MP3 style) hybid scooter sounded like a damn good idea to me.

Unfortunately when I read further it would appear that there is no such Hybrid coming out of Vmoto's soon to be finished Nanjing factory. If I have the details correct (and I am sure I will be corrected if not) then Vmoto Plan to release 125cc "fuel efficient" petrol, and a 2000W electric  versions of their forthcoming "World Scooter"

Both of these are to me a very good idea, the current 125cc engine could do with a revamp and the idea of an electric machine is just good sense. They also mention that there will be added features on the "World Scooter" such as an iPod docking station, MP3 player, heated seat and detachable "Briefcase on wheels". Along with revolutionary tech I am a big fan of innovation... I will hold my tongue on whether these added gizmos add to the usefulness of the new machine or not... My inner geek hopes so.

So where is the Hybrid? well Vmoto is also releasing a new 4wd Quad bike which will feature dual fual motivation in the form of a 620cc 4 stroke engine and a 4000W electric motor... this sounds to me like a winning combo... can you PLEASE put it in a maxi Vmoto... go on you know you want to.

The "World Scooters" are due for release in January but we will get you some pics and a test as soon as we can get our grubby hands on them.
